10 Reasons Why People Give Up Easily.

10 Reasons Why People Give Up Easily.

Everybody wants to accomplish one thing or the other in life.  Many times people start something but hardly finish it. People start things full of hope and enthusiasm for accomplishment. They try to continue in it and quit as soon as it becomes hard. Many times people postpone taking action till later, because they feel like not doing it right away.

The reason people give up easily is because they always listen to thier brains and not thier hearts. Our brains will always analyze fear while the heart will stir courage.

Below are top 10 reasons why people give up easily and probable ways of getting around it.

 1.  The Can't Do Mentallity.

Everything we set our minds to do can be done,  the question is,  can you try it?  To do something,  one must have the ability and capability. Ability is the possession of the means or skill to do things. Capability is the level of our ability. Skills can be acquired or learned over time. So the first thing to do in order to accomplish anything is to believe that we are capable and we have the ability.

If someone tells you that you can't do it,  ignore them,  recall all those who heard the same words many times but refused to use it. They continued in the thier push until they succeeded.

2. Living A Comfortable Life.

The more we feel comfortable with life,  the more lazy we become and likely to give up on what we are doing. There are temptations to leave things just as they are and feel we have arrived. Successful people don't feel that way,  they are constantly seeking for improvement in their life. Rich people like the Dangotes have many companies, yet they have not stop there,  they are still planning to open more and get into new businesses. Just because you have some millions of naira,  you are now lazy or think you have arrived.

As people start things they continue in it until it gets hard,  they then give up and quit only to start another and quit in the same process.  No matter how good your life is, believe that there is room to get better. Whenever you feel like giving up, think about those aspects of your life you do not like and concentrate on improving them.

 3.  Not Believing In Oneself.

Self-doubt about your ability or capability to succeed in what you are  doing will make you want to give up. Some loose faith in their capabilities even before they start the project,  they are scared of failure,  so they don't even want to start.

Many successful outcome are as result of confidence in oneself.

4. Lack of Focus.

Distractions are everywhere and our brain always multitask. It is easy to start one thing without finishing before starting another.  We start projects without ending them due to distractions from other achievements and the cares of this world. People are forever starting and never finishing.

You need to exercise the staying power and continue in one thing at a time,  even if you want to do more than one project together,  ensure that you have separate time for each task and give full concentration to any of the project you are doing at the set time.

 5. High Expectation And Lack Of Patience.

We live in the world of fast things, from fast food to fast cash, fast internet to fash cars,  everything is done fast -  fast. So whenever the project we are doing seems to delay we begin to loose faith and lack of patience will make us abandon what we are doing.

Every good thing takes time to mature and come to fruition. So be patient and keep working to achieving success in your project and in no time you will achieve it.

 6. Lack of Motivation.

Motivation is an inherent force that keeps us in focus to achieve a certain goal. It most times requires inspiration from outside to keep us steady inside.  At the begining of your set project or target, you may be full of enthusiasm, you felt motivated and encouraged. Then things started slowing down, you realized that it wasn’t that easy and the motivation starts going down, the inspiration burning out and so you will begin to feel it is easy to let things go.

7. No Clear Vision, Mission And Dream.

Lack of defined vision and mission to achieve the said dreams makes people to easily abandon

projects. When people develop an initial idea as just a temporary wish and at some point, they realized it was not worth the time and investment. The effort and the sacrifices they put will begin to dwindle and before long,  they will abandon the projects.

Every project should have a well defined target to accomplish,  the well laid down vision will motivate us into accomplishment. Don't just think of an idea and the next thing you are doing it. Carefully plan and prepare for the project and set all the needed steps in place for achievement.

  8. Comfort Zone Factor

People want comfortability,  the brain is program to protect us from harm, stress and all other hard activities,  we all prefer to lie down and relax and let all the good things in life come to us effortlessly. Success come after investment of time,  resillence, hardwork and shear persistency in the task or project we set our mind to do. When people refuse to come out their comfort zone, they will lose interest in anything they are doing and give up.

Whenever the temptation to turn back and return to your comfort zone comes to you, simply remember that once you have reached where you want to be, you will create a new comfort zone there, so keep going onwards and upwards only.

 9. Too Much Consideration To People's opinion.

If we consider what people say,  we will never achieve anything in life.  Whenever we plan to do something,  people will always take the job of advisers on our behalf even without appointing them.  They will always tell you that you are too old or too young to start something new, they will tell you, it is late or this is not the season to start that specific thing,  they think that your dream is not realistic  and such cannot be achieved or no one has ever accomplished it, so don't waste your time, It is not worth it.

They are called, "naysayers"  ignore them, completely stay away from them,  listen to your inner self, analyse the project, plan the execution and start right away.

10.  Underestimating The Process.

Most times people don't analyze what it will take them to accomplish the set target. They are carried away by the end result or expected gains of doing the certain project, without considering all the inputs needed to achieve the set target.  So when they start the project and later get entangled in the web of completing steps for achievements,  They become overwhelmed by needed stages of accomplishment,  loose faith and quit right away.

Always take time to get the required information. Study and  know what is needed to accomplish that specific project,  then do a thorough plan before embarking on the project.

SA movie wins major award at AFRIFF

 Of Good Report
Still from Of Good Report

South African movie Of Good Report has won the award for Best Feature Film at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) in Nigeria this weekend.

One of the producers, Luzuko Dilima, was in Calabar to accept the award.

Director Jahmil X.T. Qubeka says: “I am honoured that our work has been given such an accolade by AFRIFF. Rather than an award I prefer seeing it as a call to arms. As an industry, Africa has much work to do.

“Such recognition serves to fuel as well as affirm our intention and desire to help bring more global focus to African Cinema. We salute AFRIFF for the award and prize.”

Michael Auret, producer of the film and managing director of Spier Films comments: “Spier Films thanks AFRIFF for this prestigious award which re-affirms our belief in the capacity of Of Good Report to electrify audiences on the continent.

“It is great that Africa has acknowledged the talents of one of its most promising young directors and this is a challenge to directors across the continent to make films that are memorable and rise above television.”

Nigeria: Don Jazzy, Wande Coal At War?

Rumours have been making the rounds that Don Jazzy and his former protégé, Wande Coal, were at logger heads. What's more, both musicians have confirmed the story, at least, by their actions. This silent separation occurred in August, but was very evident when the dark-skinned singer released a new video titled Rotate, without any mention of Mavin Records or Don Jazzy.
During the week, he released another single titled Babyface, under his Black Diamond Entertainment label. Apparently, this action marked the beginning of the bitter Twitter war between the both of them. According to the producer, Wande Coal "stole" the song from him. He went further to post a link of the demo he made of the song about a year ago. Wande replied by posting what he called the "original demo of the same song" also recorded a year ago! Wande also said there was absolutely no reason for Don Jazzy to say what he said on Twitter, as he had better ways of contacting him if he had anything to discuss. "Don Jazzy is not God" and he couldn't stop him from progressing in life. Issues like this are not supposed to be discussed in public, except if one side wants to score cheap points over the other. At least, both were once colleagues. Of course, there are better ways through which this matter could have been solved. Concerned fans of both acts are seriously waiting to see how this 'beef' will be cooked and done with. As some have said, they were "disappointed in Don Jazzy for acting childish"
